Once I got the plate center, with pencil I traced the edges of the flanges on back of plate holder. The center horizontal rib works well for keep holder level. (I got lucky on one side, because the flange nestled in the corner of vertical and center horizontal rib on back of holder.) Place rods in holes and screwed on nuts and washer to solidify rods. Decide which how far apart you want your rods. The dimples on the front bumper are a good reference marks for Lic. On opposite end, screw on one 5/16" bolt and then washer.įiguring out which holes in iron to put rods into. Screw Tee Nut flanges on one end of each rod. Cut (hacksaw) 2 pieces of threaded rod to desired length. By putting the bolts in, it helps to keep the iron parallel to the front of the car. I centered the iron as best as possible then pre-drilled holes for Tech screws. I used two 5/16" bolts to hold the angle iron in place against the bumper frame. I cut the angle iron to desired length approx. After deciding to use the #14 Tech screws to mount the angle iron to the bumper frame, I needed to remove the front end to pre-drill holes. I tried doing the install without removing the front bumper. ![]() Order of events-this is how I did the install. While looking for parts, I found LED license plate mounting bolts. Finally completed my license plate mount.
